Lincoln Center Student Arts Council
Lincoln Center Student Arts Council (LC SAC) is a group of teen advocates working to engage their generation in all art forms. Using the resources of Lincoln Center, the group’s mission is to create opportunities to make the arts more accessible to a diverse audience.
The teen-led Council works throughout the year to curate a full calendar of programming for audiences ages 13 and up. Teens can become members of LC SAC to have access to curated member events.
Members can also delve deeper and join one of our three working committees and help manage LC SAC and its initiatives engaging in a variety of roles involving programming, social media outreach, community service, budgeting, administration, marketing, arts journalism and more.
You can read more about the group on The Score.
What We Do
The Student Arts Council is both an arts engagement and entrepreneurship opportunity for teens with a wide range of interests and skills. Members will attend events and performances, while also participating in aspects of arts administarion, marketing, fundraising, and more.
Performance Outings - Student Arts Council members have access to Lincoln Center’s most in-demand performances – often when they’re sold out to the general public. These performance outings are group outings, where members can experience the best of the performing arts here at Lincoln Center across different mediums and venues.
Student Arts Council 101s - Student Arts Council 101s are interactive discussions where members learn about different art forms from an artist or industry insider
Council Meetings - The teen-led council meets four to five times a year and is assigned special projects to support the council’s activities and the greater mission of Lincoln Center. Members will be expected to attend General Council Meetings and also participate in subcommittees and special projects.
Volunteer Opportunities - The Student Arts Council will have opportunities to partner with Lincoln Center’s education and outreach initiatives throughout the year to offer support during performances and large events.
Please note: Teens interested in participating in Lincoln Center Student Arts Council do not need to pay an additional membership fee if their families participate in LC Kids at the $500+ membership levels.
